Christian Ecology Link appoint Amy Willshire as Information Officer.
The national charity Christian Ecology Link today announced that Amy Willshire has been named Information Officer. Amy will coordinate the organisation’s communication with the public and media.
Amy is the chair of Leytonstone Youth Matters and was previously a Trustee for the Inter Faith Network for the UK. Amy previously coordinated the Eco-Preachers course in East London and has a passion for wildlife conservation.
Paul Bodenham, Chair of Christian Ecology Link, said, “Amy brings the perfect mix of youth and experience to our work. She has a background in helping people of faith, and not just Christians, work together for the common good. And her experience of work with young people will help us support a new generation of Christians who are passionate about environmental issues, but have not yet found in the church the encouragement they need”.
Amy takes over the role from Jo Abbess who has been commissioned to write a book about renewable energy. Jo said “I am thrilled Amy will be taking on this role, as I know she will bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to it”.
Amy said “I know CEL are passionate about creating positive change for the environment. I am impressed by their collaborative, friendly approach and look forward to joining the movement in the role of Information Officer.”
