Enable your old (and young) friends to get out on nature trips
Taking old people on nature trips
Old people often cannot drive as they did when younger and cannot walk long distances. Enjoying nature – looking at views, wild flowers, birds etc is one of the happiest things to do.
Why not arrange a short nature walk for your old friends and contacts. – People often need that extra bit of encouragement to walk in the cold or over a distance – do help them do it!
Dementia:
In 2013 a new scheme is starting – Become a Dementia Friend – find out more – Perhaps you can take somone in a care home out for a walk.
Perhaps you can take someone for a walk who is living with a carer, and thus give the carer a rest.
