2. (By Martin Davis) Thurs 17 Sep was the anniversary of the death, 841 years ago, of Hildegard of Bingen, Benedictine abbess, writer, composer, philosopher, mystic, visionary, and polymath. Her life was celebrated this year in an online retreat from Belmont Abbey, near Hereford. The half-hour talk entitled “Nurture Greenness” was particularly beautiful: you can watch it (free) from this link: https://vimeo.com/458667484
1. (by Kate Rigby 20 Sept 2020 If you are feeling glum, do have a look at this lovely international, multilingual, ecumenical youth prayer service to kick off the Season of Creation. Here’s a separate link to the feisty closing song from Africa, which takes Greta’s famous ‘How dare you, how dare you’ as it’s refrain, and announces the ‘Laudato si revolution’. There are some technical glitches in the service, but it’s worth persevering, if you haven’t seen it.
