Green Christian Xistence project, seeks Researcher & Development Officer

Are you passionate about faith and the environment and longing for a prophetic Church and a sustainable world?

Through our Xistence project, Green Christian is keen to explore how we can best serve those people in the age range 25 to 40.

We are looking to recruit 2 motivated individuals.

ResearcherDevelopment Officer
  • to understand which other like-minded organisations, if any, are reaching younger people in relation to green Christianity, and learn from their experiences;
  • to understand the values, attitudes and concerns among the target group so that Green Christian can support them and fill any gaps.
  • to build on the preliminary work which has been carried out by the Researcher
  • to work with the Researcher in applying that research
  • to provide a detailed set of recommendations which will enable  Green Christian to better serve younger people

The project will last for 8 months throughout 2015. Both roles will be for 6 months, working for 8 hours per week. There will be a 4 months overlap, with the Researcher starting 2 months before the Development Officer in order to kick off the project.

Thanks for your interest, Charles. While the project will be focused on the 25-40 age group, there is no age limitation for applicants for either post. I see that you are based in Chennai - I think that would make it difficult regarding close working between both posts. However if, having considered this and the Job Description and Person Specification, you would like to apply for either post, you are free to do so and your application would be considered with all others received.
