Write a hymn on “The God of Creation” – competition
Write a hymn on the theme “The God of Creation” for the competition organised by Settle Methodist Circuit’s 17th Annual Hymn Festival
First Prizes of £150 and second prize of £100 for both the Open Class and the Local Class
Please indicate the TUNE to which your hymn is to be sung. Please do NOT compose your own tune.
The closing date for entries is 3rd October 2016
The Settle Methodist Circuit Hymn Festival and competition is now in its 17 year and the winning hymns will be sung at the Festival which takes place 4-6 November

The authors of the best hymns will be invited to allow their hymns be used in a book /collection, probably to be called “Environment Praise 3”, similar to the book “Environment Praise 1” which was compiled by Judith Allinson after the Settle hymn competition with a green theme in 2001. Many of the “Environment Praise 1” hymns are presented in the hymns section of Green Christian’s Website here (Note this is voluntary – some people may with to reserve the use their hymns for other publishers)
