Aims and objectives of position
- To inspire and encourage Christians to get more deeply involved with our activities
- To reach out beyond our current networks, bringing Christians into our “fold” of community and action
Job purpose
The aim of your role would be to help Christians understand and act on our calling to safeguard creation by using our resources and activities to respond with hope to the climate and nature crises in a way that can roll out into society at large.
We are looking for someone who can do this through Digital Media with a particular focus on creating film and audio to engage new audiences. Other expertise that would be useful is to be able to help with writing press releases and articles, speaking to the media and at events.
You would need to be able to communicate well and be able to listen, talk, engage and inspire people. You would have to be able to organise your own time and work well within a team.
Reporting
The Digital Media Officer will report to, and be advised and supported by, members of the board of Trustees.
Salary and hours
This is a part-time role, for 5 hours per week. The salary is £14 per hour before tax, paid monthly in arrears. The person in this role needs to be resident in the UK and will be an employee of Green Christian and the role is for one year initially with the possibility of extension. Work will take place from your home and on Zoom.
