Cheltenham film maker, *Jack Guest*, has organised a special screening of his eco-documentary *‘An Inconvenient Truth 2’* to take place at the Bacon Theatre on *3rd September*, including the distinguished guest speaker,*Jonathan Porritt*.

*An Inconvenient Truth 2*, intended as a sequel of sorts to Al Gore’s ‘An Inconvenient Truth’, is a film about the world getting better. It proposes that society already has answers to climate change and features positive solutions already implemented in Sweden, the leading EU country for renewable resources which aims to break its dependency on oil by 2020.****

Jack Guest, director and producer of the film, said:****

*“In no uncertain terms we face a huge problem on planet earth and An Inconvenient Truth 2 looks at turning that problem into an opportunity. Like Al Gore, I agree that by acting now we can prevent disastrous climate change from taking place, and can create more wealth, health, prosperity and happiness by doing so. My film gives a positive message that the
solutions for a stable climate do exist and they can enrich rather than restrict our daily lives.”*

In *An Inconvenient Truth 2* Jack travels by boat to Sweden, to speak with leading politicians, scientists and entrepreneurs and also meets with families committed to reducing their impact on the environment. The film focuses on two renewable housing areas in Sweden, powered by sun, wind and water, demonstrating a wholly positive and realistic prospect of sustainable living. The film makers also look at biogas, which is created
from human waste to fuel cars, buses and even family cooking. In Sweden, existing human sewage treatment plants are being used to create biogas from methane; proving to be a truly sustainable fuel and one of the best in the world for climate change and the  nvironment.****

Following this exclusive screening, there will be a Questions and Answers session with *Jonathan Porritt* and *Jack Guest.*

There will also be an opportunity to meet with representatives from various local green organisations, including *Transition Cheltenham*, *Vision 21*and the *Gloucestershire Green Party*.****
