Report on the Cambridge GC on the Road Together event on 2 June 2018

Howard Gardner writes

This is the second such event, and we a good team to run the event. There was advertising for this event in the magazine and we also sent out invitations to GC members in East Anglia and selected Churches in Cambridge. Besides the advert in the magazine (seen by everyone in the UK), Ruth emailed all the 70 or so GC members in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex. The biggest concentration of members is in Cambridge city.

In total  25 people attended, and there was a great atmosphere from start to finish.  We used the same programme as at the London event, including a major presentation of the Joy in Enough programme. Also, the sketch (featuring Martin Luther, Pope Francis and a banker) was very enjoyable!

We hope people took away a deeper appreciation of what Green Christian stands for and does, and perhaps made new contacts – and if this led to a new local group, we would be delighted!
