Spring
Whilst birds sing their celebration song
And gentle rain falls upon the warm earth
The moment of love begins once more
The rain tickles the seed
And the seed laughs as it sprouts
A gentle breeze causes the shoots to dance
In joy of that which will begin anew
Grain, warmed by the sun, is broken
And becomes beautiful bread
Which our Lord breaks in renewal and gift
With friends like you and I
This is love, it cannot be anything else
The love which the sky shows the earth
In rain and sun, caressing in hope
Where new shoots spring from ancient wine
Once thought dried up, dead
For they have been pruned once more by
The makers hand
Loved, encouraged by the gardeners faith
Shaped like potters clay
Making good with joy everlasting
