Saving Wildlife – Coffee, Cake and Cards in Settle

Saving Wildlife Coffee Morning

Statements such as “The Earth has lost half its wildlife in the past 40 years”  are staggering –
More specifically:  ‘in less than two human generations, population sizes of (wild) vertebrate species have dropped by half’ The Living Planet Report 2014-WWF.

.

Yet we must not give up hope. We need to do things to save what is left for future generations.

.

Judith Allinson of Settle writes:

“At Settle Methodist Church on 1st November we will be holding our annual coffee morning to raise money to help protect what is left.

.

If we raise £100, that is enough to protect an acre of rainforest according to Cool Earth and World Land Trust. And if we raise more we will give money to A Rocha Ghana who are fighting to save The Atewa Forest in Ghana that is under threat.

It is only a tiny thing to do. But better to do this than nothing.

I invite you to hold a coffee morning in your church to save wildlife.  See Green Christian’s Rainforest Fund Project  And use our leaflets “Saving Wildlife

(See pictures of previous Rainforest Fund Coffee mornings  from 2008 to 2015 – but this year we will be in our new coffee lounge.)
