The Big One: Join worship led by our friends from Black Majority Churches
Saturday 22nd April at 12 noon, outside Parliament
All are welcome to join Christian Climate Action’s open air worship service outside Parliament calling for climate justice. The service will include an opening Call to Worship and welcome from Reverend Delroy Henry, National Director of Education at the Leadership Training Centre, New Testament Church of God; intercessory prayers by Charnelle Barclay, Director of the William Seymour Project at the Centre for Theology and Community; and a closing invitation to discipleship and Benediction from Reverend Ronald Nathan of Hoggard A. M. E. Zion Church, Saint Michael, Barbados.
This is a public event which is part of of our programme at the huge climate protest at Parliament called The Big One. We feel that as Christians we are called to be salt and light in the face of the injustices of our society, and to use our prophetic voices to bring things back into right relationship as God wants. This is why we are coordinating a distinctively Christian presence at this climate protest, and are organising a range of worship events to inspire people to action. Everyone is very warmly invited to attend and to be a part of this Kingdom work.
Come and pray with us as we stand up for the Creation and our brothers and sisters across the world who are facing the devastating injustice of climate change.
Join us also on the Friday 21 April for our Peers “in conversation” event and as we pray and walk together to The Big One at Parliament.
