5 June 7pm: The “A” of LOAF. – ANIMAL-FRIENDLY – has the church made any progress? Joyce D’Silva, the former CEO (and still a member) of Compassion in World Farming, and author of Animal Welfare in World Religion, explains.

Wed 19 June 7pm: Joy in Enough workshop: – The Affluent and the Climate & Nature Crises: a focus for advocacy and hope – A talk by Ian Christie of the Centre for Understanding Sustainable Prosperity (CUSP)

Sat 22 June: Central London. A “pre -Restore Nature Now” service will be held at at 11am in London: Creation Cries Out ecumenical service: 11am, Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception, Farm Street Church, 114 Mount Street, Mayfair. Includes children’s outdoor nature-based church. Please register for your place* *In the event that numbers inside exceed the capacity of the church, priority will be given to those who have registered.

Sat 22 June: Central London: Restore Nature Now march for nature and climate action: – meeting from midday, marching from 1pm, Parliament Square rally at 2.15pm. – We are Restore Nature Now – a group of nature, wildlife, environment, and climate organisations and individuals all united by one common goal: to restore nature now. The demonstration will be legal, safe, family-friendly and inclusive, and take us through London to Parliament Square. The latest State of Nature report showed the UK has lost almost a fifth (19%) of wildlife populations since 1970, with 1 in 6 wildlife species at risk of extinction from Great Britain. Green Christian is one of the many supporting organisations of this event.

7pm 3 July 7pm 2024 – ORGANIC – agroecology, regenerative farming, organic farming: what’s the difference? Richard Kipling, Head of Research at the Sustainable Food Trust, will lead our workshop on organic farming.

Sat 8 June 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM Windout Farm, EX6 6DR: “Taste and See”: Reimagining our Food System from a Biblical Perspective A day of teaching, worship, discussion and prayer exploring the current challenges in our broken food system, and how we might eat and farm in ways that glorify God more fully.

Sat 8 – Sun 16 June: Churches Count on Nature and Love your burial ground week. Organise and event to record some of the wildflowers/ insects / even slugs / in your churchyard.

Sun 9 June ,Near Shrewsbury: 10am at Christ Church, Glebe Road, Bayston Hill, Shrewsbury: Special Service for Bayston Hill Big Green Week. Speaker: Rev Paul Cawthorne, Vicar of Hadnall Parish Church, an active environmental campaigner and previous Diocesan Environmental Officer.

8-16 June Great Big Green Week. Plan an event for this week and help each other for extra publicity: THE GREAT BIG GREEN WEEK IS THE UK’S BIGGEST EVER CELEBRATION OF COMMUNITY ACTION TO TACKLE CLIMATE CHANGE AND PROTECT NATURE.

22-28 July – Christians Aware Residential (holiday/course/retreat) at Parcevall Hall, Yorkshire Dales: “Faith in Life” – Care for Creation by the World Faiths. – talks, discussions, trips out, easily accessible visits, prayers, Open to visitors for the individual lecture, discussion or daytrip provided you book -so do look at the programme once it is up later this spring.

4-10 Aug: “Living hope for a wounded world” – Creation Care Week: Eco-theology seminar taking place at Domaine des Courmettes (SE corner of France) with Dave Bookless. The program will feature lectures by Dave, discussions, and guided walks and tours of our beautiful nature reserve of Courmettes and our organic garden.
