Every year London quietly produces an orchard’s worth of fruit. Too much of it drops, bruises, and disappears into the compost heap. In 2025 three fruit picking groups alone harvested over 5 tonnes of fruit that they donated to food banks and schools, made into chutney and juice and shared at community events.
