Sitemaps

There are four major ways to find your way through this website (and several minor ways):

1. Sitemap (web committee: no hyphen) logical -prepared by “Webeditor 1”

The first level of divisions in the hierarchy are based on the top orange menu bar:
Home; About; Get involved, Events , Resources, News, Join us.
I think it would be useful to have an extra item here:
Projects:- leading to Joy in Enough, Borrowed Time, Food & Other projects

The second level of the hierarchy are the dropdown titles from some titles in the main menu bar.
The third level in the hierarchy is based on the row of pictures on the top of each page.

This sitemap includes both posts and pages.

This website uses WordPress where items added can be either “Posts” or “Pages”. “Pages” refers to items on the website that are (relatively) permanent. “Posts” refers to items that are about a specific event or short-term topic. The newest Posts are displayed in the right-hand column on some Posts and Pages of the website. Normally Pages do not have a right-hand side bar, but this Page is specially constructed with one so that you can see it.

2. “Site-map (with a hyphen: computer generated- prepared by the web-manager):” –

This is based on how and what order the pages were added to the computer. It gets updated automatically when we add pages which is good- but we don’t always add them in the same logical order as described in sitemap1 above.

3. Top three pictures on the Home page: Prayer, Action, and Encouragement.

An artificial sitemap arrangement was devised to fit everything into three sections:
Prayer, Action and Encouragement
(Because it was thought a good thing to summarise Green Christian Aims into three words) – This is not obvious to all website visitors, especially those who do not enter at the Home Page. But it is supposed to be intuitive. No site map has yet been prepared to show this method of organisation. But it can be seen to some extent in Site-map 2 – where these three (Prayer, Action and Encouragement) come from the dropdown menu of Get Involved in the main menu bar.

4. Use the search box at the top right of each page/post

5. & 6. Categories and Topics in the right hand bar

This right hand bar appears on the posts and a few of the pages.

Note “Pages” refers to parts of the website that are (relatively) permanent. “Posts” refers to parts that are about a specific event or short-term topic. The newest Posts are displayed in the right-hand column on some Posts and Pages of the website. Normally Pages do not have a right-hand side bar, but this Page is specially constructed with one so that you can see it.
