Pray with us for COP30

The 2025 international climate conference, COP30, took place in Belem, Brazil in November 2025.
Ten years on from the Paris Agreement, we must continue to call on Christians, and others of good will, to amplify the voices of those suffering the impacts of climate breakdown. And we must pray.
Morning prayer
Every morning of COP we met on Zoom for ten minutes of prayer and reflection. These prayer sessions were led by a team from Green Christian.
The videos
We recorded all the sessions so you can catch up by going to our YouTube playlist:
Prayers
This is where we found the opening and closing prayers.

Ruth Jarman:
Thanks, Anne. Here's his video - https://www.youtube.com/live/Vv-tsYMXIQQ?si=eRqkk3ZYMvSoPhz3 And here is what Barbara said this morning: May the delegates today heed the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres who reminded them that “Communities on the frontlines are watching too as they experience flooded homes, failed harvests and lost livelihoods.” He pleaded with the delegates: “Please engage in good faith to reach ambitious compromise. 1.5c must be your only red line. This is the hour for leadership. Be bold. Follow the science. Put people before profit and please keep your eyes on the finish line.”
Anne Litherland:
thank you for today's prayers especially. where can I find the quote from Antonio Gutierres please? Or the transcript.

I'll send it to you, Anne
