26 Dec: Annual Boxing Day Fountains Abbey 4 mile pilgrimage from Ripon Cathedral to Fountains Abbey. (preceded by optional St Stephens Day Communion service at the Cathedral) – and finishing with carols and the Brass Band in the Cellarium (… and then another 4 mile walk back to Ripon!!)

Wed 7 Jan, 7pm: Green Christian Zoom Workshop – Why look for the Living among the Dead? looking at nature in churchyards – with Revd Johannes Nobel. – parish priest in York, as well as the Green Ambassador for the Diocese of York, and teaches Doctrine of Creation at the Yorkshire Theological Education Partnership. He is passionate about initiatives such as Churches Count on Nature, and Love your Burial Ground Week.

Early Feb: Possible start date for the next Cloud and Fire programme Cloud and Fire explores new dimensions – emotional, pastoral, spiritual and moral – of human life in the Anthropocene and in the shadow of existential climate risk. It is intended to enable those in Christian ministry (e.g. clergy, spiritual directors and members of religious communities) to deepen their theological, spiritual and pastoral responses for the new realities.
