You may be shy person –
but is there a sensitive person inside wishing to communicate?
You may think/know you are a good speaker –
but other people can help you improve further
You may think you are a good speaker …
but are you a good listener?
Five reasons to join a Speakers Club
1. Responsibility to improve:
You may have to give talks on Christian or environmental matters, run committees, or teach people
– Life is short – Isn’t it important to do it as effectively as possible?
I wishes I had joined a speakers club at the beginning of my career rather than near the end of it. Don’t continue giving poor talks because you are too lazy/proud/busy to learn how to give better ones.
The issues we deal with in Green Christian are vital – so if you have to give a presentation, do lots of practice for it and make it THE BEST!
2. Improve NOW
and it will be with you for the rest of your life!
3. Gain practice:
Simple techniques can soon improve your speaking and listening. But it is vital to have practice in applying them
Join a Speakers Club – apart from having the opportunity to practise amongst friends,
the meetings are fun .. and involve adrenalin, interest and laughter..
5. Low Carbon Footprint hobby
Providing you don’t have to drive huge distances to get to the club, the meetings have a low carbon footprint, compared to other hobbies such as skydiving or swimming.. .
