Let’s live well in 2026!

How do we live joyfully and well in our world so heavy with suffering and fear? Here are some ideas. Do add more in the comments section below.
- Don’t be alone. As remarked by Piglet in Winnie-the-Pooh, “It’s so much more friendly with two.” So, most importantly, don’t be alone. Sign up for our free newsletters, or, even better, join us as a member.
- Pray with us! Green Christian has a monthly Prayer Guide. Each day a different window opens to something that is happening in the world which we can take into our prayerfulness in our own ways. Praying around the same topic each day allows us to pray together, even when we pray alone.
- Come to our Zooms. Why not commit to join us online for inspiration, challenge and community? See our workshops and talks here.
- Talk about it. Globally 89% of people are concerned about climate change but it doesn’t seem like it because we are not talking about it. Start that conversation. Climate Outreach has a toolkit to help you and I find it’s a great way to talk about my faith as well.
- Transform the world! There are so many campaigns out there – it’s easy to get choice freeze. Let us at Green Christian recommend the ones that seem to most closely align to our values. Sign up to our newsletter and commit to doing just one thing from each edition. The campaign we are particularly excited about at the moment is the National Emergency Briefing. Help the UK step up by signing and sharing with everyone you know this letter asking for an urgent televised national emergency briefing for the public.
- Live lightly. Work out your carbon footprint (Climate Stewards have a good one for which you will need to know your energy consumption, and WWF have one for which you don’t). You will probably find that the top things to do might be:
- Go Flight-Free
- Go more vegan – why not try it for January?
Wishing you a joyful and purposeful 2026!
