Rewilding – Green Christian Workshop

Zoom Workshop with Wild Card.
Wild Card is a campaigning group which works with the country’s biggest landowners towards nature restoration in the UK. Among its campaigns are Rewild the Church, Rewild the Ghostwoods, Rewild the Royals and Rewild the Commons – all aimed at bringing back the biodiversity that sustains our natural environment, and the abundance of creation. Wild Card’s campaign leads will be here to tell us about the reasoning behind the campaigns, the strategies they’re using and what has been achieved to date. Rewild the Church
Claire (she/her) has a political background in climate and economic justice organising and activism in so-called Australia, now based in Glasgow. She has experience in land services and environmental management, from doing work on the ground providing advice and support to land managers, to research, policy and campaigning. Claire loves hiking, surfing and sharing food with friends, family and community.
Rewild the Ghost Woods
Poppy (they/them) is a climate justice activist and Physics graduate. They got involved with Wild Card after realizing how intrinsic land justice was to the movement against environmental destruction. They are currently studying for a MSc at the Centre for Alternative Technology. They love playing folk music as a way to reconnect with each other and the land.
They also touch briefly on other campaigns, and then invite participants to reflect on whether and where ‘wild nature’ helps them and their loved ones connect with nature.

Hi. I do believe that our Uks nature and wildlife is in a severe depleted state. I also believe it needs to be given more amounts of land/space and clean water, to help it revive and flurish. Please donate enougth land to help Rewild Britain and to help Nature repair itself. Thanks.
