Alex Evans runs Larger Us, which works with change-makers to explore ways of bridging divides and bringing people together, in particular by drawing on psychology as a source of ideas and inspiration. He’s an author, Professor in Practice at Newcastle University’s School of Arts and Cultures and a Senior Fellow at New York University’s Center on International Cooperation; he’s also worked with think tanks including Brookings in the US and Chatham House in the UK. Alex has worked as a Campaign Director at Avaaz, the 50 million member global citizens’ movement where he is now a Trustee; in the UN Secretary-General’s office on climate and sustainability; and as Special Adviser to two Secretaries of State. He writes the Good Apocalypse Guide, a Christianity-informed blog dealing with living in and responding to the challenging times we face.
