Update 1 September 2023:

On Tuesday (5 September) the 30×30 Progress Report will be released. The report reviews the government’s progress on its 30×30 goals and the state of the UK’s protected landscapes, using the government’s own data.

The top line is that government progress has stalled, many protected sites are in a bad state and 30×30 looks increasingly unlikely.

The report will be launched with a public online event at 6pm on the 5 September. All are invited to attend the event – sign up here.

Green Christian is proud to be one of the 70+organisations supporting a call for political leaders to make five General Election pledges to save nature.

Our politicians in the UK have talked a lot about the importance of protecting nature but they are failing to act.

That’s why we support this five-point plan for decision-makers. We want to see this reflected in all Party manifestos, to put a stop to nature’s decline.

You can co-sign the open letter to Party leaders asking them to commit to including these five actions into their manifestos:

A pay rise for nature – paying a fair price for nature-friendly farming.
