No More Profit From Harm
Support the introduction of a Business, Human Rights and Environment Act.
Transform Trade (formerly Traidcraft) are asking for at least one church in every UK constituency to publicly back this law – which is currently being considered in Parliament – by signing the Transform Trade declaration.
Stories of environmental destruction, human rights abuse, and dangerous working conditions are all too common behind the products we buy in the UK and right now companies can profit from causing harm and exploiting people with little or no consequences.
The law would require companies to prevent harm before it happens – helping ensure that products sold in the UK are free from exploitation and abuse (a similar law was passed in the EU in 2024)
Transform Trade want to show the government the vast extent of public support for this new law. If you sign up there will be resources to understand the issue and take action – support on engaging your MP, campaigner webinars and connection with other local groups. Plus a nationwide creative action later in the year – to pass on a call for justice across the UK.
