Like it or not, care of creation is now in a culture war. How do we bear a Christian witness at a time when environmental gains are being rolled back – including by people who want to reclaim the UK for Christianity?
At the 2026 Annual Members’ Meeting and Conference we will rethink how to be a green Christian at a time of emboldened nationalism. Our speaker will be Dr Jonathan Chaplin, a Cambridge political theologian working on issues of democracy and environmental theology.
We’ll explore the many challenges of the new environmental politics, such as:
- Could food insecurity harden our borders?
- Just how Christian is Christian nationalism?
- Should green Christians help build a progressive alliance?
- Which is more effective: denunciation or dialogue?
Join Green Christian members and friends to discover how best to respond, as individuals and as a movement.
Saturday 10th October, at St Aloysius Church Hall, 20 Phoenix Road, London NW1 1TA. Just off Eversholt Street, East of Euston station.
- Annual Members’ Meeting starts 11.30am
- Bring and share lunch
- Conference 2.00 – 5.00pm with Jonathan Chaplin
Tickets are free but limited, so please book.
If you cannot make it to London, you are welcome to watch our morning AGM by Zoom. Please note this is not a fully hybrid meeting as we are not sure of the digital capacity of the venue.
